Regent‘s Crescent
London
Case Study Overview
Project Name: Regent‘s Crescent
Project Type: Residential
Products: Towel Bars
Regent‘s Crescent, once a former office building, is a Grade I listed building that has now been renovated and turned into 67 new apartments and 9 Garden Villas. Unfortunately, the building suffered significant bomb damage during WWII and retaining the façade was not viable. So, the decision was made for it to be demolished and rebuilt making it the only Grade I listed façade to be rebuilt in the UK.
We were approached by Stone Bathwear who was awarded the bathroom pod manufacturing package to supply double mounted round towel bars in each bathroom. The design requested five rails per bathroom, located at the end of the bath. There was no issue with installing them like this because the towel bars can be installed anywhere in the bathroom due to the low voltage 12V SELV elements. The towel bars had to match the brassware and therefore needed to have a matt chrome finish. No problem. As a UK manufacturer we were easily able to accommodate this and also provided longer cold tails to make installation faster and easier.
